As the most mature 3G standard in the industry, WCDMA network is the most widely used in different countries and regions at the present time, the largest number of users, the most mature industrial chain, the most widely deployed network and the most abundant terminal types of the 3G standards. Presently, WCDMA network was launched by more than 254 operators in 110 countries and regions,3G commercial market shares were over 80%.Based on a brief review of WCDMA network structure and current situation of transport network structure, the following aspects were mainly carried out:firstly, combined with several typical cases, this paper described the effects of transmission network faults on the WCDMA Mobile network. Simultaneously, how to reduce the faults by optimizing transmission network was discussed in this paper, separately from the transmission network structure, core layer, aggregation layer, access layer, path organization, synchronous system, network management system, transmission equipment and transmission cable protection. Finally, the method for promoting the transmission network security of WCDMA mobile service was summarized. By analyzing the related technology in this paper, it can help us to have a clear understanding of the effects of transmission network faults on the WCDMA Mobile network, the quality of related transmission network maintenance work will be promoted effectively.
