Monitoring the mailing process time limit of unmarked common mails is a traditionally difficult question for postal organizations of production in China. The incapability of monitoring the mailing process time limit leads to the lack of scientific management and in turn that of a better service in the long run. In no need of human intervention and without the confines of human eyesight, RFID (Radio Frequency Identification) technology makes the non-contact data reading come true and is capable of reading many radiolabels at the same time, even at a distance. RFID technology is an effective means for fast and accurate data collection and input. By focusing on the development of RFID and the mailing circumstance in China, the paper makes an attempt to explore a possible way of tracking and monitoring the mailing process time limit. This research paper analyzes possible means needed for carrying out RFID technology, designs a testing scheme and a system framework, develops a tracking and monitoring system on the mailing process time limit and witnesses its implementation. Without changing the present flow of work and with the help of RFID technology, the tracking and monitoring system is able to provide a "visible" tracking of the time limit in the entire mailing process and monitor the respective links in the mailing production chain. The scheme proposed by the research paper is a useful diagnosis tool and test method for the dynamic tracking of mailing process, the optimization of postal network and the quality control.
