RFID technology is an automatic identification technology,which has many obvious advantages,such as high recognition speed, can identify fast moving objects, can work in a relatively harsh environment, can simultaneously identify multiple tags and so on.RFIDtags are used as the limiting speed information carrier,vehicleRFIDdevice is used to read tag’s information so as to warn and control train,and the portable terminals based onRFIDtechnology are used to maintain ground are good train temporary limiting speed solution.Because of the many types of and confusing electronic tags in the railway road,as the same time, in order to meet the maintenance of electronic tags and reduce labor intensity of inspection workers,and to improve the efficiency of inspection work.Railroad Inspection Handheld Terminal System which is based on theRFIDtechnology and GPS positioning technology become an essential component in the Train Operation Control System.This paper focuses on the design of handheld inspection terminal system’s hardware module, and discusses the software design and software implementation of the functions in the terminal system in detail, then summarizes briefly the design and functions of management system.This project realizes the goal that we design a terminal inspection system based on theRFIDtechnology and GPS technology in the WinCE platform to maintain pavement information. This system achieves mainly the following objectives:(1) There is a friendly interactive interface in this paper which is based on the system functions. The interface includes system self-test interface, system login interface, reading the tag and tag information displaying interface and so on. There are many characteristics such as easy to use, simple to operate, clear interface status and so(2) This system’s hardware-driven is developed base on theRFIDand positioning technology. Hardware-driven mainly involves the communication interfaces betweenRFIDreader and electronic tags, betweenRFIDreader and ARM11, between GPS positioning module and ARM11, between GPRS communication module and ARM11and so on. (3) This system has the information storage function. We select an appropriate database to store the tag information and GPS location information, and we have packaged the interface or class which are operated in the database.(4) The function of the communication protocol resolving. The communication protocols resolving including the resolving of tag protocol resolving, modifying the tag agreement, GPS positioning information protocol and GPRS communication protocol.
