The Solar power is recently developed to be a kind of new energy technology has enormous potential, and solar cell is one of the core technology. When the battery units appear all sorts of problems, it will greatly reduce the value, so solar battery fault detection method has great practical value. The fault detection method for solar battery used in current industry is basically the line inspection and volt-ampere characteristics curve detection. Despite the far infrared image processing and visible image processing method were reported, but these methods have less insufficiency such as the slow detection speed or less detected fault type.Using near infrared image method to detect the solar cell defect is a new development in recent years which to be a kind of quick solar cell defect detection means, Its principle is to use the phenomenon that silicon solar battery on electricity would issue 1150nm infrared wavelengths, so that we can get the available solar cell image with near infrared imaging methods Because of the near infrared image of solar battery includes full details, it can be used accordingly to detect solar battery fault condition. Compared with the traditional method, it hasadvantage that more detectable fault type, higher detection speed, etc.This paper is about working to use image recognition method analysis on solar cell, so that we can identify the fragments, hidden cracked, broken grille, internal differences from the near infrared image of solar cell in the different faults, make solar cell detection efficiency the greatly improved.
