With the development of defense system in our country,the space defense system needs further improvement.Using satellites for observation and early warning is the main means of space defense.The missile can produce a tail flame with extremely strong infrared radiation.Many natural phenomena on Earth also produce very strong infrared radiation.Lightning also generates a lot of heat.It can cause interference to the target recognition of satellites.Because the flight target is often in the cloud,the satellite's identification of the target mainly uses the infrared band as the detection band.A large number of lightning infrared images are needed during the design of the satellite.These pictures are used to test the recognition ability of a satellite.At present,there are few lightning images in the infrared band.In order to solve this problem,need to simulate lightning images in near or far infrared band,in different camera resolution,in different camera observation location.Provide analog data for satellite design.This paper elaborated the simulation of lightning infrared image from the aspects of radiation transmission simulation,cloud top lightning geometric model simulation,lightning radiation brightness calculation.And designed the simulation software,this software could simulate lightning images according different input.The main contents of this paper are as follows:(1)Established a lightning radiation transport model based on the monte carlo method to simulate the transmission of lightning radiation.This model could create a coordinate,this coordinate was the outset of the cloud-top-lightning.(2)Researched on the fractal and L-system,based on those two method accomplished the simulation of cloud-top-lightning.(3)Based on the empirical formula obtained from the analysis of lightning data,calculated the radiated brightness of the near-infrared band of lightning.Calculated the radiated brightness of the far-infrared band of lightning by using the planck formula.(4)Modified the cloud-top-lightning model according to the law of energy distribution on the cloud top and radiation value.(5)Completed the design of simulation software by OpenGl and C++.this software could simulate lightning images according different input,and had a good application value.
