In recent years, there is a trend that development in different fields becomes more distinguished, and the variety of corresponding requirements for their systems is more important. This trend plays a crucial role in the rise of System-On-Chip (SOC) technology. In most processes and methods of SOC development, co-developing of software and hardware has been gradually and widely accepted in both academic world and industry. This method can speed up the product research and improve the re-usibility.In this paper, the research is based on co-developing of software and hardware: we choose FPGA to define the hardware chips and simulate the system on chip from software application point of view, in order to speed up the verification process, decrease the resoucse consuming, and keep the usibility. This research is based on Web server software system. During the whole process, firstly this paper analyses the software requirement constrains and pre-defines scalarable interfaces according to the hardware requirements. In this part, this paper mainly covers data allocation and management, data structure and software data interface for hardware; secondly we present the specification of this Web server system in an independent software development environment. We develop this system in Eclipse standard C environment on operating system Linux. The whole web server system implements from MAC level to HTTP application level in order to separate from the general operating system; at last in this paper, we provide a test method to certify the usibiliy of this system and do some module tests for each function module. At the same time, this paper also presents the physical test on hardware to certify the whole idea.In a brief, this paper mainly does some research on software verification design in SOC co-developing of software and hardware process, also involving some discussion of software system test to jusify the robustness and correctness of software system.
