The rise in the number of China's per capita motor vehicle ownership has been matched by an increase in traffic accidents hit and run cases. The researchers analyzed on-site tire marks, in order to deal with traffic accidents as soon as possible and improve the detection rate of cases. First of all, the researchers analysis the characteristics and investigation techniques of tire treads. The second, with the help of computer technology, researchers to establish the vehicle tire treads and body of vehicle information system. At present, scholars have studied a lot of tire marks of accident scene, but the vehicle information database has not been established. Researchers to determine the direction of the vehicle main use to On-site tire treads, Including the calculation the braking distance,collision position and the classification of the tire by the initial velocity of the brake.In this paper, based on the above issues, the author analyzed the on-site tire treads feature,with establishing traffic accident information system for tire treads and tire tread marks the scene image matching system. Through the above analysis of tire marks, it can greatly reduce the scope of the suspect vehicle and quickly to lock the vehicle, in order to improve the detection efficiency. Details are as follows:1. This paper researched case of traffic accident scene in order to characteristics of tire tread, includes characteristics of the tire marks, measurement traces, identification, traces of ABS anti-lock braking system and trace theory text analysis. The analysis of the width of the tire marks to determine the name of cross-section width tires.2. This paper established a database of vehicles, tires and tire marks Database including analysis of multiple models and model matches the original tire. Based on Visual C++ platform, This chapter developed system software of vehicle tire marks.The system can quickly determine the scope of hit and run vehicle by software to check the specifications of the tire model.3. This paper established the tire tread marks image matching system. The system is to find the best match model results through traces of the suspect vehicle's tire tread image match to tire tread marks the scene image. It further aims to narrow the scope of the suspect vehicle.
