Ultrasonic Detection System Of Parking Spaces Based On Zigbee Wireless Sensor Network

With the growth of Chinese per capita GDP, vehicle ownership has also increased rapidly, which causes the number of vehicle is much more than that of parking spaces in most cities. Many drivers cannot find a parking space quickly and accurately, the phenomenon of traffic congestion appears near parking entrance. So we need urgently an intelligent parking system which makes use of advanced detection technology and network technology to detect parking space for parking guidance system, so as to improve the current traffic conditions of urban parking.This paper proposes a solution for parking detection system. This system develops a high-precision ultrasonic sensor for detecting whether the parking spaces are occupied, and temperature compensation circuit is added to modify propagation velocity of ultrasonic wave, which ensures the accuracy of detecting data. A wireless sensor network is set up by using Zigbee wireless communication technology. The information detected by sensors is transmitted to Zigbee coordinator, which transmitted from Zigbee coordinator to PC through the serial port; PC analyzes the received data and display current parking occupancy status; finally we can realize guiding drivers parking automatically.Matlab7.0 is used to analyze data collected by sensors, and the result shows that as adding temperature compensation circuit, sensors of this system are more precise. The network data packets are analyzed by Packet Sniffer, the data transmitted by Zigbee network is verified by wireless serial communication and the result shows that the data is correct.A large number of data appears that parking detecting sensor works normally and Zigbee network is reliable, the system has high value prospects and promotion.
