With the progress of technology and the raise of material and cultural life, researches on the smart home are more and more deeply. Communication network which implements the smart home is an extremely important component of the system. Zigbee is a short-distance wireless communication technology which is designed for low-rate wireless sensor networks. It corresponds to the requirements of the smart home networking systems and communications.A design of smart home system based on the study of wireless sensor network technology is introduced in this paper.Based on the introduction of the current research situation of the smart home at home and abroad,S3C2410 chip and CC2430 chip are used to build hardware platform and software platform of smart home embedded Linux control system and the Zigbee module.So the collection and control of the smart home environment information could be achieved.A design of energy conversion by piezoelectric mechanical for node power supply of Zigbee module is proposed which changes vibration energy into electrical energy.Based on the comprehensive introduction of the Zigbee networking feature, the studies of routing protocol optimization are focusd on. A method of decreasing packet radio radius and controlling packet overhead is proposed to reduce node power consumption,which aims at the broadcast packet flooding of existing ZBR route algorithm.Use NS2 network simulation platform to emulate ZBR and DSDV routing protocol,and analyze the performance indexes of packet delivery ratio, routing overhead, average end to end delay;then emulate improved AARAODV and ZBR routing protocol,and analyze the performance indexes of group radio number, routing overhead and network nodes survived.Simulation results show that Zigbee nodes energy consumption could be reduced, the performance of smart home systems could be improved and the life cycle could be extended efficiently by the optimized AARAODV algorithm.
