Studies On Teachers' Professional Developing Needs Of Senior Middle School Biology Teachers In Chongqing

Teachers' professional developing needs have important values in Teachers' professional developing. Teachers' professional developing needs not only is inner power to improve the teachers' professional developing, but also can help us to have a new idea about the professional value of teachers and can give some advice to make the system of teachers' education develop. But, now Teachers'professional developing needs of biology teachers have not be cared completely. The biology teachers' education that is carried now often can't make the biology teachers satified, because it often lacks specificity and become ineffective, make the subjective power of biology teachers weak and make teachers' professional developing delay. So in my opinion,the study and survey on Teachers' professional developing needs of biology teachers is imperative.The theme of this study was senior school biology teachers'professional developing needs. The study used literature, questionnaire survey and interview. The teachers' professional developing needs of biology teachers have five aspects:the first is the need about attitude of the teachers' professional development; the second is the need about the knowledge of teachers' professional development; the third is need about competence of teachers' professional development; the fourth is the need about development approach of teachers' professional; the fifth is the need about environment of teachers' professional development.The study concluded that:1.The senior school biology teachers expected more systematic and efficient quality training under new-curriculum Reform.2. senior school biology teachers should give more attention to the educational research, and to try to have organizations to give them professional guide.3.The senior school biology teachers except the good teachers'education and the environment of professional development.Follow the results of the research, I can made the following recommendations."1. establish and improve the system for teachers professional development.2. Developing a Teacher Learning Community promoting teachers professional development.3. study they own professional development and establish the project of teachers professional in3-5years.
