In the early of 1980s,the U.S. economy has been in the process of deep recession, the U.S. public think that the case is related directly with the declining quality of education,so that they advocate strongly to promote teacher professionalism.Teacher Professionalism is a long process of professional development,teacher professional development is inseparable from teaching,and teaching is conducted in the school,the teacher professional development can be achieved is only in the course of school education.The creation of PDS of American can be said the fruits what have prompted teacher professionalism of American.PDS is a new form of teacher training in reform of American education,it is not a real school,it is a new mode that on the basis of collaboration with university and the existing primary and secondary schools what is improve pre-service teachers'the level of training and promote in-service teachers' Professional development,improve primary and secondary student achievement,promote schools and universities reform and development.This article is divided into six parts.The first part:introduction.This section mainly introduced the topic-selection reason and its significance,the domestic and foreign research reviews,adopted the methods and the definition of the related concepts.The second part introduces background of teacher professional development school,because its production not just due to a factor,the author mainly prelude from three aspects elaborated its background,that are the social background and historical prelude,the objective need of education reform,and strive to fully understand and grasp this new thing.The third section describes the development process of PDS through the idea and the establishment,initial development,standard and extension three sections.The fourth section analyses PDS from the features,effects,problems and solutions.The fifth section is an overall evaluation to PDS from its advantages and disadvantages.The sixth section is the enlightenment of the article,it mainly learn from PDS the experiences and lessons through introducing PDS above several aspects and combining with China's national conditions.
