Reciting is a traditional language teaching method which is worth profiting from. It conforms to the language teaching rules. It has the significance instruction regarding the primary and high school language teaching. However, from the sample investigation about the reciting of the ancient prose among the primary and high school students in Linxiang, the present situation is anxious. In theory, the traditional teaching method of reciting has a lot of controversies. Based on the reasons above, this article takes primary and high school students'reciting the ancient prose as the research object, so that we can find a new practical way to enhance the primary and high school language teaching efficiency and quality.Reciting is the best way to learn language for primary and high school students, especially has the superiority which in the ancient poetry literature custom other study method is unable to compare. Reciting with reading aloud, the memory relations to be close, reads aloud the external form which is recites, the memory is the intrinsic core which recites, the memory has its intrinsic rule and the method, therefore recites is also orderly and the method may seek. The author hoped that the language teacher can take seriously to recite the teaching, carries on the correct method guidance to students, enhances recites the efficiency, lets students like reciting, like the ancient prose.Based on the importance of reciting ancient prose and the reality that primary and high school students recite ancient prose, the writer uses the literature, the experiment, the investigation, and the method of comparing, summarizing the understanding of teaching reciting from the ancients, and unifies the request of the new curriculum standard, the modern pedagogy, and the correlation theory of psychology. The paper also aims at the concrete teaching practice to reinsert the traditional method of reciting in the language teaching. The students should be taken as the main body and books should be returned to them, besides, the practice of reciting should be strengthened. The author concentrates on the relevant factors sums up ways to recite, and some scientific principles on the reciting of ancient prose, especially the description about the formation of a sense of language. Meanwhile, it does some positive research on the continuations of reinforcing the reciting ancient prose and the ways to recite, thus recites the ancient prose the teaching systematic, to theorize, hoped that this article elaborates the content to be able to play the teaching instructs and profits from the role.
