With increasingly severe ecological situation, the environmental crisis has threatened human's survival and development greatly. It is realized that"the ecological crisis is not only a natural disaster, but in some ways, is man-made calamity. In our country, it has become a serious obstacle to fulfill the Scientific Outlook on Development. To change the situation, we must reinforce the ecology morals education.Pan Maoyuan, a scholar of high education indicated,"There are many examples about destruction of ecological balance….and it is the professional personnel graduated from our institutions of higher learning who are responsible for them."Therefore, colleges and universities as the main position of ecology morals education should play an important role in enhancing the ecology morals qualities of contemporary college students. Colleges and universities should foster the students on the concept of harmonious coexistence between human and nature. The timely and efficient ecology morals education to college students will help them build up scientific and proper ecology moral values, develop good ecology moral quality. And it also promotes college students'all-round qualities so that they can perform their obligation to the nature and shoulder the important historical responsibility of building a harmonious society.This article is divided into five parts to study the ecology morals education of the contemporary college students.The first part is to elaborate the background of the subjects, the significance of selected topics, current research at home and abroad, research ideas and methods, and the initial understanding and assurance to ecology morals education of the contemporary college students.The second part is to elaborate the basic concepts and theoretical basis of the ecology morals education. On the one hand, it clearly defines the concept of ecology morals, ecology morals education and ecology morals education of the contemporary college students, which is the basis of the research, and also defines the research scope; on the other hand, basing on the Chinese traditional ecology ideas, western thinkers'ecology ideas and the discussion of ecology in our Party, it also expounds the theoretical basis of ecology morals education to contemporary college students.The third part is to elaborate the necessity of ecology morals education to college students. It indicates that carrying out ecology morals education to college students is to promote college students'ecology consciousness, to realize a human being's all-round development, to promote the connotation construction of universities, to keep the need of ecological balance. And it is also able to construct ecological civilization and to promote social harmony.The fourth part is to investigate the state of ecology morals education of the contemporary college students and analyze the problems and the reasons for the problems. According to the statistical analysis of 300 sample survey questions of six National University in Hebei province, it's found that ecology morals education of the contemporary college students has the following three aspects of problems. First of all, college students are not fully aware of ecological environment questions and their ideas drop behind. Secondly, college students would like to protect ecological environments, but not positively and consciously. Finally, they lack firm will to protect ecology, so they cannot practice well in ecological protection. Four main reasons can be found by analyzing the above problems compressively: firstly, university morals education stresses interpersonal morals and neglects the relationship between human and nature. Secondly, challenging by social reality, universities could not pay much attention to ecology morals education to college students. Thirdly, contemporary moral education can't always keep pace with the times. Finally, many reasons, such as imperfect management of ecology morals education to college students, lead to the loss of the ecology morals education. That is to say ecology morals education didn't go into the area of moral education in colleges and universities timely.The fifth part is to explore how to perfect the ways of ecology morals education of contemporary college students based on the above investigation, statistics and analysis of contemporary ecology morals education of college students. This part is to elaborate the following contents of ecology morals education to college students: the education of Scientific Outlook on Development, the education of ecology consciousness and the education of ecology morals standards. The main principle includes: scientific principle, developmental principle, practical principle and principle of subjectivity. The main ways include: to strengthen the ecology morals construction of campus culture, to set up more curriculum of ecology morals, to raise teachers'qualities and competence of ecology morals.In short, during the social transition period, ecology morals education of university students as the college's new field of moral education is the product of the times and keeps up with the trend of the times. In particular period, it is essential to investigate the status, sort out the theory and design the framework of the Ecology morals education of the college students. I hope this study will profit the development and improvement of the ecology morals education of college students.
