The new curriculum standard points that students'capacity of scientific inquiry should be paid attention to. Physics is a subject based on experiment, some of its concepts, principles and laws are summarized during the experiment. Physics experiment is able to mobilize students'enthusiasm to the greatest degree. Students are capable of expressing their imagination and creativity in the process of experiment. Physics experiment provides a suitable environment for the ability of scientific inquiry's improvement. Therefore, .the majority of serve teacher would make efforts in the respect. The theme of the paper is physics teaching in the junior high school. According to a lot of literature, the author found that there are many problems in the current junior high school physics experiment teaching,mainly related to the experiment content, laboratory equipment, inappropriate teaching methods and so on. With the rapid development of science and technology, virtual experiment is the result of the application of information technology in education, It play a important role for the development of physics experiment teaching. Virtual experiments can resolve the current difficulties in the teaching, increase the opportunity of experiment teaching, modify the experimental content, and improve experimental equipment and experimental methods.The paper includes six components: part one is preface, mainly illustrate the current situation of instruction of physical experiment, the necessity and probability of virtual physics experiments'application in junior high school teaching, research methods of the paper, the paper's study implications, and so on. Part two is theoretical basis,narrate in detail the theoretical basis of physics experiment teaching, including Dell's the core of experience, constructivism learning theory, humanism learning theories and the learning transfer of cognitive flexibility theory. In addition, the author mentions learning theories make a difference to instruction of physical experiment. Part three is technological base of instruction of physical experiment. The part mainly described the major function of MATLAB simulation software and the simulation of the physical laboratory,and the current situation of software's application in instruction of physical experiment. Part four is the research on virtual experiment-assisted instruction of physical experiments in junior middle school. The part analyses curriculum standards, learner, learning content, teaching aims, teaching methods and patterns for teaching and learning. Moreover, the author sums up reasonable model of instruction. Part five is case studies, the part explain specific applications for virtual experiment in instruction of physical experiment from the standpoint of instantiation. Part six is conclusions and prospects. The author summarizes the major contents of the research and point the deficiency of the study.The point of innovation for the study is the application of virtual experiments in instruction of physical experiments. The paper deeply analyses instruction of physical experiments by reading literature and on-the-spot investigation. The paper improves theory and practice of instruction of physical experiment in junior middle school.
