Experimental teaching is an important part of physics teaching,but some physical experiments have limitations,resulting in unsatisfactory teaching effect.The desktop virtual experiment is a combination of modern technology and real experiment,and its application brings great convenience to production and learning.In the experimental teaching,the desktop virtual experiment has the advantages of clear experimental phenomena,breakthrough teaching difficulties,providing exploration conditions,and saving experiment costs.This study combs the current situation and problems of physics experiment teaching,summarizes the advantages of virtual experiment,takes the desktop virtual experiment as the research object,combines the virtual experiment with the real experiment,summarizes the experimental phenomenon,consolidates the experimental operation,explores the experimental process,etc.Through the analysis of two teaching cases,the teaching effect of the combination of virtual and real is compared from the two aspects of the degree of attention retention and the kno wledge of the knowledge points,and suggestions for the teaching application of the desktop virtual experiment are proposed.The research finds that the teaching application value of desktop virtual experiment is manifested in the following those aspects: presenting experimental phenomena that are difficult to display,visualizing abstract knowledge,consolidation of experimental operations,and pro viding conditions for exploratory experiments.According to the research conclusions,the author puts forward the application principle of “can be practical,virtual and real”,and proposes the selection principle of “combining reality and flexible selection” for virtual and real complementarity.From the lesson,the author also found that there are some problems in the virtual experiment to be solved,such as limited physical experiments,difficult to use,and the use of virtual experiments in students’ experimental classes will distract students’ attention.The author will continue research in the future,in order to contribute to the normalization of desktop virtual experiments.
