In the context of the informatization of national education,various new technologies are constantly cross-integrated with the courses of various disciplines,and how to apply new technologies to the teaching of various disciplines has become a hot spot in current education research.In recent years,virtual reality technology has developed rapidly,providing users with a good immersive and interactive experience through related hardware devices,and has also attracted widespread attention in the field of education.In the exploration of natural disciplines,experimental teaching has attracted attention.In the field of experimental teaching in the basic education stage,virtual simulation experiments based on virtual reality technology provide educators with a new teaching idea.Among them,the teaching of physics experiments is an important teaching content,and virtual physics experiments can make up for the shortcomings of traditional classroom physics experiments and bring new vitality.Therefore,it is necessary to apply virtual experiments to the theoretical and practical research of physics.In the present,many virtual experiments have been initially applied in school teaching,but the research of virtual simulation experiments in junior high school is mostly biased towards the virtual display of the experimental process,and there are fewer studies on how to scientifically and reasonably integrate virtual reality into actual teaching and how to combine it with teaching design,and the immersion and interaction of experimental content are not ideal,resulting in a gap between the experimental effect and the expected results.Therefore,it is difficult to meet the needs of students’ innovative awareness and ability training.In view of this,according to the Compulsory Education Physics Curriculum Standards(2022 Edition),this study analyzes the current situation of virtual reality technology applied to experimental teaching at home and abroad,especially physics experimental teaching,and analyzes the current situation of physics experimental teaching in a field junior high school through investigation and interview,and explores new ideas for combining virtual reality experiment and junior high school physics experimental teaching.With the support of situational cognition theory,inquiry-based learning theory,three-dimensional modeling technology and three-dimensional interaction technology,the process of constructing junior high school physics experiment by virtual reality experiment is discussed,and the experiment "Measure sliding friction" in the junior high school physics textbook is used as the case development object of this study,and the knowledge point of friction in junior high school physics is simulated by virtual reality technology to enhance students’ perception of the knowledge point.At the same time,for the application of virtual physics experiments,the detailed teaching design of experimental cases is carried out.Before the development of virtual experiments,the general principles and design goals of virtual experimental design are clarified,and the development process is determined.During the development process,the 3D modeling software was used to complete the production of the model required for the experiment,and the Unreal Engine(Unreal Engine 4)platform was used to complete the construction of the virtual experiment scene and the implementation of interactive functions.The research in this paper proves that using the Unreal Engine development platform,it is possible to develop immersive and interactive virtual experiments.Virtual experiments can be used as auxiliary teaching tools and new experimental teaching forms in the teaching of physics experiments in junior high schools.The development of virtual physics experiments in this study is an effective integration of information technology and subject courses,which provides experience for future research on the design and development of virtual experiments.
