Both personal development and social development need career education. Study of career education started early in developed countries. After a long-term study of theory and practice, these countries have formed a set of nationally appropriate career education system.Career education started late in China, and there is less related research so far. General high school is an important part of secondary education in our country. It is based on the nine-year compulsory education, undertakes the task of transporting higher quality students for colleges and higher quality labors for society. For a long time, general high school takes "Taking students to higher school" as the main target and neglects career education for students. This triggers a series of serious social problems while influences career development of students.General high school biology curriculum is an important scientific curriculum. It is based on the compulsory education to further improve the scientific literacy of biology for students. Career education is to make high school students learn a variety of different occupations. Biology-related occupations are part of social occupations. It also requires students to prepare for these occupations. Researches have shown that penetrating career education in subject curriculum is an important part of career education in general high school. Therefore, penetrating career education in general high school biology curriculum is necessary and feasible .For there is lack of research of career education in subject curriculum and biology curriculum has the value of career education, the author choose to study the career education in general high school biology curriculum .This paper studied the necessity and urgency of career education in general high school; the necessity and feasibility of career education in biology curriculum; analyzed career education content of "Basic Education Curriculum Reform Program" "Ordinary High School Curriculum Scheme " " Ordinary High School Biology Curriculum Standards "and biology textbook by PEP; investigated the status of career education in the selected school biology curriculum.The results shown that career education in general high school was necessary and urgent; career education in biology curriculum was necessary and feasible; there were variety contents of career education in biology curriculum; case study school was lack of career education in biology curriculum. Based on the results of the study, the researcher put forward her own proposals. |
