The era of the reform of the new college entrance examination calls for ordinary high school career education curriculum that are more suitable for the development of students. At present, the country still lacks relevant curriculum standards,so the research on the design of ordinary high school career education curriculum has become a necessary move to promote the construction of ordinary high school career education curriculum. It is also a key move to respond to students' development needs. The purpose of this study is to design a high school career education curriculum that can adapt to the reform of the new college entrance examination and can be implemented within a certain area based on career development and curriculum design theory, combined with empirical research. In this study,a total of 858 high school students from six high schools in Zhejiang Province and Jiangsu Province were used as a sample.Through student questionnaire surveys and teacher interviews, the survey was conducted on the career development level of ordinary high school students and the status of career education curriculum. The following findings were obtained through literature and research:1.The average career development level of ordinary high school students is 3.76(out of 5 points),and the overall career development level is relatively high, but the self-cognition level of students is much higher than the students' cognition level of colleges, professions, and occupations.2.The overall status quo of ordinary high school career education is not optimistic, mainly reflected in the less frequency of curriculum, less content of curriculum and less related activities.3.Existing curriculum objectives and content exist that focus too much on self-exploration and ignore the study of external exploration and career decision-making methods and approaches, ignore the transfer and acquisition of applied knowledge, and are inconsistent with the student's career development in terms of time arrangement and organization.Demand and other issues.4.Ordinary high school students look forward to a three-year full-stage career education. The demand for external information is higher than the need for self-awareness,hoping to carry out practical life education.5.Ordinary high school students under the background of the new college entrance examination system mainly need to deal with four stages of development tasks, namely the critical period of junior high school transition, the critical period of subject selection, the critical period of academic planning, and the critical period of college and professional selection.Based on the above findings, combined with relevant theories, the following considerations are given to the design of ordinary high school career education curriculum in the context of the new college entrance examination system: first, the five objectives of the career education curriculum;second, the understanding of career,self-exploration,and environmental exploration,Decision-making and management of four modules of career curriculum content;third,it is proposed that in the organization of curriculum content, each critical period corresponds to different career development tasks, and carry out career education curriculum and activities of different content, form and frequency;Fourth, the overall presentation in the form of a curriculum plan;fifth, construct a multiple environment conducive to the implementation of ordinary high school career education curriculum.
