English teaching has the purpose of cultivating the students' thinking ability and improving their ability of obtaining and processing information. Therefore, to improve student's reading ability is the important content to complete one of the teaching goals. Foreign language teaching psychology deems that reading is a process of recognition and speech communication, and is also an extremely complex physiological and psychological process. Therefore, in the teaching of reading, if the teacher only lets the students read the articles, and do exercises, but ignores students' emotional experiences, the teaching will be against reading psychology, so it cannot effectively improve student's reading ability. We think the information technology and the primary school English reading teaching can be effectively integrated, thus greatly increasing classroom capacity, stimulating students' reading interest and enthusiasm, developing students' reading potential, training students' reading skills, cultivating students' English thinking, and finally improving students' English reading ability.In terms of constructivism as the basic theoretical foundation, this study mainly discusses the Integration Mode of information technology and primary school English reading teaching. With the New English Curriculum Standards as the guidance, this paper first presents English reading teaching at home and abroad and the relevant theories. And then, the Integration Mode is applied to the teaching of Elementary English (JiJiao Edition) in three specific forms: the textural reading mode, the conversational reading mode and the story reading mode, which are illustrated with case studies with the purposes of initiating interests, creating scenarios, penetrating cultures, increasing communication, providing examples, expanding classroom capacity, highlighting teaching goals, and overcoming difficulties.Based on the Integration Mode, an English reading teaching platform for the elementary school has been designed to provide solutions and examples for improving the efficiency and effectiveness of English reading teaching.
