This study targets the present high school obligatory Chinese textbooks1-5 published by People's Education Press and by Jiang Su Education Press and does a research into the compiling conditions and characteristics of Learning Assistant System of the two textbook versions. Based on the contrastive analysis, the author attempts to seek a more ideal Learning Assistant Mode and provide some beneficial enlightenments and suggestions to the compiling and application of Learning Assistant System of high school Chinese textbooks.This paper includes the following three steps to carry out one by one: The first chapter is introduction. In this section, the author gives an overview of the research background, present situation of the research, research questions, research methodologies and research motivations.The second chapter is a review of the previous studies. In this section, the author probes into the development and evolvement of Learning Assistant System in the field of textbook studies and textbook compiling through a summary of several monographs on textbook research and Chinese textbooks published by People's Education Press.The third chapter is the contrastive analysis and main part of this paper. The author firstly clarifies Learning Assistant factors of the two textbook versions and further focuses on profound contrastive analysis of key Learning Assistant factors such as introduction, notes and illustrations. Based on the contrastive analysis and positive thinking, the author puts forward some proper suggestions.
