Research On Teaching Efficacy Of Chinese Teachers In Secondary Vocational Schools

Teacher's efficacy is a teacher's ability belief that he or she can successfully organize and perform teaching and other activities at school. The efficacy of Chinese teachers of Secondary Vocational School (SVS) has close relation to the teaching quality and therefore the research of SVS Chinese teachers' teaching efficacy actively helps to push SVS Chinese teaching reform, to raise Chinese teachers' overall quality.The conclusion is made by basing on counting and analyzing the data with SPSS 17.0 from the sample survey on teaching efficacy of some SVS Chinese teachers in Dongguan city by using the self-made Efficacy Scale of SVS Chinese Teachers(1) The teaching efficacy of SVS Chinese teachers in Dongguan city is above the intermediate level. Among which efficacy of planning and preparing, application of teaching strategy, class management, teacher-student interaction, evaluation of teaching effect is comparatively high and that of education cognition is comparatively low.(2). The teaching efficacy of SVS Chinese teachers in Dongguan city greatly varies among sex, length of teaching and position. In terms of title, the efficacy of class management apparently rises with the rise of the title.(3) The overall teaching efficacy of SVS Chinese teachers in Dongguan city does not vary much in terms of title.(4) Vocational attitude varies directly with SVS Chinese teachers' overall teaching efficacy and that of other aspects. Therefore, vocational attitude actively helps to predict SVS Chinese teachers'teaching efficacy.(5) The common efficacy of SVS Chinese teachers in. Dongguan city is obviously lower than self-teaching efficacy.Based on the analysis of present situation and the existing problems of SVS Chinese teachers' efficacy, the paper puts forward some intervention measures to raise SVS Chinese teachers'efficacy.
