With the Chinese rural transition, the industrialization and urbanization process of the country develop rapidly,more and more rural labors have been working in cities which causes an issue of the rural left—behind children. And the education problems of these left—behind children have been received more concerns and attachment from the whole community. The author understands the guarding, learning and mental status through the investigation on the left—behind children in rural areas of Qingyuan District, Ji' an City in Jiangxi Province. And the author also grasps the true environment in survival and development of them,and the forming reason were researched in this thesis, on this basis, the author puts forward some policy suggestions to improve the education situation of the rural left—behind children from the public policy angle.The thesis includes three parts except the introduction and the conclusion. The first part analyses the problems exist in the rural left—behind children education based on the survey of the left-behind children current education situation in Qingyuan District. The survey shows that the left-behind children have problems on psychology, learning and morals in different extent. The second part discusses the main causes of the education problems exist in the rural left—behind children combined with the current education situation survey results in Qingyuan District. We can see it is caused by family education lack, unbalanced school education, and unfavorable environment of social covering. In the three part, the author lists the policies that the government has taken and says the active effects and shortcomings, then analyses the causes and puts forward some policy suggestions from the public policy angle.
