Research About The Influance Of Personality, Personality Match And Demographic Variables Upon On The Quality Of Marriage

Objectives:In order to research the influence of different kinds of personality and different matches of personality on the quality of marriage.Methods:926 couples was investigated who come from 14 provinces including country, county town, small cily, big city and municipalities in order to get data of personality and the quality of marriage by using Chinese 7 factor personality scale and Marrige Perception scale(MPS). Input and analyse the date using SPSS15.0 and Epidata3.1.Results:The difference of the score of couples interaction are statistically significant in the age (p＜0.05). The difference of the score of couples conflict are statistically significant in married years (p<0.05). The difference of the score of couples interaction(p<0.01), family relations(p<0.05) and couples conflict(p＜0.05) are statistically significant in the number of children. The difference of the score of couples interaction, family relations, couples conflict and the total score of MPS are statistically extremely significant in the number of children (p＜0.001).The total score of MPS have a extremely significant negative correction with Emotional personality(p<0.001). The total score of MPS have a extremely significant positive correction with Groundbreaking Personality, Insistent Personality, Moral Personality and Agreeableness (p<0.001). Hasband's Extroversion have a significant negative correction with his own (p<0.001) and his spouse's (p＜0.05) couples conflict, but have a extremely significant positive correction with the total score of MPS and the other factors (p＜0.001). Wife's extroversion don't have a significant correction with her spouse's Marital perception and her own family relations and couples conflict, but have a significant correction with her own total score of MPS (p<0.05) and couples interaction score (p<0.01).The difference of husband and their wife's total score of MPS and the score of all factors are statistically significant in personality combinations. Conclusions:The difference of some factors and the total score of MPS is statistically significant in the age, married years and the number of children.But The difference of all factors and the total score of MPS is statistically significant in residence. Wife's extroversion don't have influence upon on the quality of marriage. But other personality factors have significant influence upon on the quality of marriage. No matter any combination of personality, couples quality of marriage are different.
