| The year of 2009 is the turning point of the profession degree education in our country. In March 2009, the Organization Department of the Party Committee in Department of Education decided to increase enrollment of full-time postgraduates from the undergraduates. At the same time, from 2010, all the categories of postgraduate profession degree, which were examined and approved by the State Academic Committee, are included into the unified recruitment of postgraduates. In January 2010, the State Academic Committee examined and approved 19 categories of postgraduate professional degrees, the most in its history, at its 27th session. It indicates the fresh new era of the development of professional degree in our country. Against such background, how should Yunnan Province handle its professional degree education?This research, beginning with life-long education theory and view of quality of higher education, analyzes comprehensively the local and state policies of professional degree education development through the horizontal and historical retrospect of the development history and present situation of postgraduate professional degree in Yunnan Province. Combined with the analysis of the survey on the need of the professional postgraduate students on campus in Yunnan Province, it examines and questions the qualification of the training institutions on professional degree education in Yunnan Province. From the four aspects of teaching staff, courses and teaching, paper supervision and teaching administration, this thesis attempts to find out whether the present condition meet the requirement of the increasing enrollment of professional degree education and personalization education, and to provide strategic reference to decisions on the balance between the scale and the quality of fast development of professional degree development under the guidance of the development strategy of Yunnan Province. |
