Mathematical concept is the basic element in the mathematical system. Mathematical concept is a prerequisite for solving mathematical problems. Mathematical concept is a kind of abstraction and generalization of a mathematics research object, which reflects the nature of the math object. Therefore, pay more attention for mathematical concept is the most basic teaching principles of mathematics teaching. In this paper we combined with the author's own teaching practice and the background of the mathematics concept, study how to introduce mathematical concept, to extend the concept to another form, to understand the relationship between mathematical concepts. Study how to deal with relationship between mathematical concepts and mathematics skills. Study some problems found in the process of mathematics learning for middle school students. Analyze "the bad role for solving problem provided with misunderstanding concept ", "the examples for understanding concept ", and "the assimilation for understanding concepts". Four typical instance analysis on concept teaching have been done. Put forward some thinking on the teaching of mathematics concepts.
