A Study On University Student Villiage Officials Social Adaptability

Since the first time the Jiangsu province hired college students to be the village officials in 1995, these kinds of research have gone through 16 years. The project "adopt student village official", which is one component of the construction plan for new socialist rural area lead by the country, has been developed not only in Jiangsu but nationwide. While the implementation stage, this project also becomes one of the hot topics in the society. During this new developing period, it is significant to understand how the college students do the village official's job so we can serve the construction plan better. This paper mainly focuses on the village official group in Luhe district in Nanjing and aim to figure out their current situation in the community.This paper includes five parts:Firstly, the research background, relative conception, sample, references will be introduced. Also the basic methods and structure which has been used would be given in this part. In second section there are literature review and theories. Through a large amount of deep interviews and surveys a real appearance how the student accommodate the new place, whether adaptive or not, will be displayed in 3rd section from four aspects which in working, living, mentality and culture, respectively. In next chapter the writer tries to find reasons why some students appear uncomfortable as the village officials from the factors in self performance (main part), social environment and government execution. The last section draws conclusions and gives possible solutions to the problem above from four dimensionalities which are policy-making, management system, social support and the students themselves.
