The Research On Non-traditional Security Cooperation Between China And ASEAN

After the cold war, the international security situation has been changed enormously, peace and development are the major themes of our times. Non-traditional security has become the major threat to international and national security. Later in the 1990s, the whole world was suffered from serious threats of Non-traditional Security. Terrorism, transnational crimes, environmental degradation, Financial crisis and other non-traditional security threats were becoming more and more pronounced. How to solve these issues is urgently and importantly. Conducting multilateral diplomacy for closer international cooperation is the way to solve these issues. China and ASEAN are alike face with the same Non-traditional security issues and have common interests. For these reasons, China and ASEAN are develop cooperation on Non-traditional security. This paper focuses on the cooperation situation between China and ASEAN and also has put forward some suggestion for strengthen cooperation on Non-traditional security. This paper divides into five parts.Preface:Summary of the current study situation and the significance of the study.The Second part mainly expounds the concept of Non-traditional Security. Non-traditional Security include many issues, such as Economical Security, Eco-environmental Security, social security and public health Security.The third part mainly discusses the necessity of the Ncn-traditional Security cooperation between China and ASEAN.The fourth part analyses the cooperation situation, and pointes out the defects of cooperation. The areas of China-ASEAN security cooperation are not extensively. Some problems need urgent solution.The fifth part put forward some suggestion on how to strengthen Non-traditional Security cooperation between China and ASEAN.
