Research has gradually raised the degree of concern to the people and human resources with the development of economy. The focus of study has moved from job analysis, personnel selection, and compensation scheme to the psychology of employees. With the development of management psychology, positive psychology researchers put forward the concept of subjective well-being, which is comprehensive evaluation of the quality of life. Subjective well-being is an inclusive term which can be conceptualized as having a cognitive appraisal component (i.e., job satisfaction) and two emotional components, which are positive and negative affects.Based on the review of subjective well-being, the researcher did the study in eight hotels using Work Motivation Scale (Tremblay et al,2009). Job Satisfaction Scale (Cammann et al,1979), Job-Related Affective Well-Being Scale (Van Katwyk et al,2000), Organizational Commitment Scale (Meyer et al.,1993), and Job Diagnostic Survey (Hackman&Oldham,1980; Idaszak&Drasgow,1987). The research results are:(1) Hotel employees'work motivation positive influences subjective well-being;(2) Hotel employees'subjective well-being positive influence their affective commitment;(3) Subjective well-being mediates the relationship between work motivation and affective commitment;(4) Job enrichment moderates the relationship between work motivation and subjective well-being.The main innovations of this thesis include:(1) Based on the reiated research, the researcher studied the current status of hotel employees' subjective well-being, and discussed the constructs, determinants and outcomes of subjective well-being;(2) This research utilized Preacher, Rucher and Hayes (2007)'s MODMED macro (Version2.0; Model5) to evaluate the moderating effect of job enrichment;(3) This research discussed how to improve the hotel employees' subjective well-being, therefore, it has implications for hotel managers to grasp the characteristics of employees' psychology and behavior.
