The Zhihua Temple Music which last for500years is one of the five oldest music of China. The Zhihua Temple Music can be heritage and continue all contribute to the practice and subjectivity of the subject. This passage research the Jing music, also called Zhihua Temple Music, discusses the changes of the representation of music, subject and subjectivity in different context. There is a set of complex system of relations behind the process in which the various elements relate to each other. First of all, the changes of representation are based on the change of subject and subjectivity, and the position of the subject relate to the ownership of the representation. Second, the economics and networks of relationships influence the subjectivity when the subject is doing practice. Thirdly the other subject which attend in the protect work of Zhihua Temple Music can also impact the practice of the subject. Around some of these problems, the thesis is divided into the following six parts:This passage starts with the introduction which explains the reasons and significance for selecting the Zhihua Temple Music as an object of the study. Then shows my idea which based on the former researcher's study. And my approach is starts from the subject and subjectivity, then observe the relationship behind the representation of the music.In the chapter One, I describe the performances in Zhihua Temple and the daily lives of the performers first. Then I show the process of the music in contemporary by interviewing Hu Qingxue who is the artist of the Zhihua Temple Music.In the second chapter, I described a historical picture in which is the priority and decline of the Zhihua Temple by power. There are three parts in the picture:the formation of the art monk, the image of the art monk, and the practice of the subject. The chapter III starts with the describing of the second music festival of Zhihua Temple Music. I describe the performance today. And after that I discuss the forming of the performance which is made by multi-subject. In modern time, some other subject also attend in the process of protecting the Zhihua Temple Music, for example the religion people and the musicians.I discuss the other two performances of Zhihua Temple Music in Chapter IV. Bechind the performances is its own subject and subjectivity. I also introduce the Yankou and some other practice and ceremony of Buddhism. I reconstruct a image of the Yankou with my field work.In the conclusion, I summarize the full text by saying that the subjectivity plays an important role in the forming process of the music. With the changes of the subjectivity and practice of subject, the music also changes. I propose some recommendations base on the use of subjectivity, and affirm the importance of subjectivity that can protect the Zhihua Temple Music in the future.
