The Design Of Thematic Based Chinese Teaching For Korean Children

This is the study of Chinese teaching mode of Korean children on thematic based language teaching theory. Thematic based language teaching theory which is based on D·H·Hymes'linguistic theories, emphasized that students should learn like this "using language to learn" and "learning to use language". Language is learned by using not teaching. Thematic based language teaching theory chose the subjects which students have interests in or connects with their life. Nowadays this theory mainly is used in foreign language education for adults and second language teaching, this article tries to combine theory with children Chinese learning and explores children Chinese teaching mode on thematic based language teaching theory, as a result to indicated that theory was scientific and feasible.The full text can be divided into five parts:The first part is introduction, which introduces the reasons and meaningfulness of selecting this topic. This part illustrates the necessity and significance of this study, and shows the study methods briefly. The second part is reviews of other's study, which introduces the theoretical basis of this topic and home & abroad research findings of "thematic based language teaching" and teaching theory on children foreign languages. The third part chapter is design of thematic based Chinese teaching model. In this chapter, after the analysis of Chinese teaching situation of Korean elementary and junior high schools and features of Korean children learning foreign languages, on the basis of textbook Happy Chinese, designed the themes and introduced specific practice and ways. The fourth part chapter is thematic based Chinese teaching example. The fifth part illustrates the limitation and looks forward to the future study work.
