| There are different kinds of language-teaching modes in Chinese teaching.Teachers organize and arrange teaching activities according to certain teaching theories,purposes,contents and their own teaching practice.The thematic teaching mode provides students with good learning situations,enables them to contact with different learning contents in different fields related to the themes while they are participating in activities,and thus enables them to learn by doing practice.Teachers organize learning content around the theme,select appropriate teaching materials and activities,and promote the learning process with comprehensive learning tasks in real situations.When the author was teaching Chinese in Thailand,she found that the thematic teaching mode conforms to Thailand’s educational philosophy and the students’ characteristics,and is easy to be mastered and implemented by new Chinese teachers.Therefore,the author in this paper attempts to combine the thematic teaching mode with Thailand’s Chinese teaching practice,taking the Chinese teaching practice of Phetkasem Management Technological College in Thailand as an example,and makes an in-depth study of this teaching mode,in hope of providing a new idea for Chinese teaching practice in Thailand.This paper first constructs the theoretical content,studies the connotation,characteristics,theoretical basis and implementation steps of the thematic teaching mode,and analyses the feasibility of the mode.Then,it carries out the research into teaching practice.It selects subject teaching content,and carries out teaching case demonstrations around the theme of “time” under the guidance of the thematic teaching mode.In the end,it uses paper tests,questionnaires,interviews and daily teaching reflections to investigate the effect of thematic teaching.The results show that the application of the thematic teaching mode in the comprehensive courses of primary Chinese in Thailand is beneficial to students’ relatively systematic learning,improves students’ interest in and enthusiasm for learning Chinese,and achieves good teaching results.This teaching mode is worthy of being referred to and promoted. |
