Dynamic Font Design Of Chinese Characters

In the Twenty-first century, pluralism is the trend of the display media for visual communication. The glamour of visual design in the future is its inknowability. Digital media technology has widely influenced and changed human's life in a certain extent, which has raised new challenges and opportunities for the script design of Chinese character. As the unavoidable information carrier for the inheritance and dissemination of Chinese culture, as well as the unevadable important component for the art of Chinese design, Chinese character possesses wide development space.The research methodologies used in this paper include Case Analysis, Comparative Study, Literature Documentation, Generalization and Summarization. Begin through the analysis of the definition and development trend of dynamic Chinese character, the special characteristic of dynamic Chinese character design, the forms and methods of creation have also been analyzed. Simultaneously with the combination of the writer's creation practices, this paper summarized the change and integrations between the traditional and modern dynamic Chinese character design. This paper tried to conduct research on dynamic Chinese character design as a single cultural phenomenon, attempted to examine the relationship of dynamic Chinese character design among modern arts and future new media art. The situation of the development of dynamic Chinese character design under the current historical background has been explained and stated objectively in this paper.Following conclusions have been obtained: 1. Besides the five general characteristic of"dynamic character design"which are timeliness, kinetic character, interactiveness, media diversity, five senses perception; dynamic Chinese character design requires the integration of its own particularity for creation practices. The application popularization of the technique has built a fundamental platform for research. The dynamic Chinese character design should be classified into the dynamic graphic design area for research. 2. In the future, the form of expression of dynamic Chinese character and its conveying media will have diversification, and its way of expression will not be set and single standard. 3. The rather important part for the decision of the dynamic Chinese character design nature is the transformation of the form of expression from static to dynamic. 4. The dynamic Chinese character design is idea that looks into the future. It's still a brand new field that have not yet been developed and paid attention to, and it is also an open process. Researchers should count this as one of the cultural phenomenon for the future design in China for further research and discussion. 5. The very necessary task for the designers during the creation practices and theoretical researches of dynamic Chinese character design is to derive from the philosophical connotation and spirit of traditional Chinese art; utilize the forms of expression of the traditional art; observe the relationship among Chinese character design, modern arts, and future new media arts from different angles. We should be brave to propose new ideas, based upon the present and look into the future of design in China.
