| Quan Zuwang, born at Yin Xian Zhe Jiang Province, was a well-known scholar in Qing dynasty. Throughout his life, Quan took the responsibility of commending wise and ambitious scholars, of collecting literatures in local areas. He had achieved great accomplishments on Confucian Classics, historiography and philosophy. But unfortunately, Quan had no chance to pass on all his learning during his only 51 yeas lifetime. Quan also made a large contribution to the collating of Shui Jing Zhu (Commentary on the Waterways Classics), not only on amending the errors of historical geography research made by Hu Wei and Yan Ruoqu, but also on discovery two regulations of the book -- " another annotation in one annotation" and "note between two lines".Jing Shi Wen Da (explanations on Shui Jing Zhu), was Quan's work, following the example of another work Ri Zhi Lu written by Gu Yanwu. Ruan yuan, a great master at that time, highly approved Quan' s Jian Shi Wen Da, and so were lot of scholars in this field. This paper focuses on studying the original sources of all the three editions Jing Shi Wen Da, and does a comparison among them. After a textual collation of all the three editions, the writer finds four main situations:Then the writer classifies the items in Jing Shi Wen Da according to the content, picks and makes some explanatory and illustrative research on some items. The paper mainly deals with the scholarly attitude and academic develop route of Quan Zuwang, by a detailed study of both the roots and the two-sides of Quan's points. Here is an example:Quan's comment on " Yi yi guan zhi (one unity pervading all things) ", from The Analects of Confucius. Quan's explanation and reference text is the same with Song Ru. So was his conclusion, which was not beyond the sphere of Song Ru Schools. But meanwhile, his view inspireed the scholars of Qian Long and Qia Qing Era.
