Researches On The Impact Of Father Absence On The Pupils' Gender Roles, Self-esteem And Life Satisfaction

The study contrast the gender roles, self-esteem and life satisfaction of the father absence children and father not absence.and try to explore the impact of the father absence to the children's psychological development.700 pupils including 406 father absence children and 294 father not absence children,from two downtown primary school and three rural primary school,which located in Fuzhou city and Putian city.were assessed by questionnaires(CSES,etc).the result showed that:(1)The father absence children had significant lower score than the father not absence children on the genden roles. The father not absence boys'same-sex temperament and heterosexual temperament are develop better than the father absence boys.And the father not absence girls'female temperament are develop better than the father absence girls(2) The father absence children had significant lower score than the father not absence children on the self-esteem, the different type of the father absence have the different impact in the different dimensions.(3) The father absence children had significant lower score than the father not absence children on the life satisfaction, the different type of the father absence have the different impact in the different dimensions.
