| Career Choices are important to everybody and the result will influence the people on social status, economic status and style of life. In which self-knowledge is the base of individual career choice. Many national scholars have carried out research about career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE) and given out theory idea about Chinese students, but the research and theory have not gone further enough and lack the base of empirical research. The thesis deals with the subjective psychological factors which influence contemporary university students'career choices: career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE), achievement motivation, occupational values and their interrelationships so as to explore the principal psychological factor and put forward new theoretical perspective and valuable suggestions for university students' vocational guidance.In this research by applying Achievement-Motivation Scale that made by T.Gjesnle and K.Mjgaro in 1970 and dubbed by Hagtvet.K.A in 1988; Work Values Questionnaire of LIngWen Lun; and CDMSE-Short Form that made by Betz and Taylor(1983), and revised by LongYan Mei to make a questionnaire survey on the 300 university students from ShanDong JianZhu University, by analyzing the result, we may safely draw such conclusions:1.The university students'career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE) has it's own characteristics and differs in genders, majors and grades. The boys'CDMSE is superior to girls which shows stronger ability in gathering occupational information and problem-solving. On the grade dimension, there is no significant differences in self-evaluation and goal-selecting. On the plan-making and problem-solving dimension, the juniors and seniors score more than freshmen. At the same time, the CDMSE differs in different majors. The different specialized university student self-evaluation, information gathering, plan-making and problem-solving differences are not remarkable; While exist significant differences in goal-selecting dimension, which the Arts score significantly lower than the Science.2.The university students'career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE) differs in genders, grades and majors. The boys score significant higher in pursuing success and avoiding failure than girls. Different grades show significant differences in the two dimensions. In the dimension of pursuing success, the Juniors score significant higher than the other three grades. In the dimension of avoiding failure, the Sophomores and Seniors score significant higher than the Juniors. The Arts and Sciences score no significant differences in major dimension, while the Science score significant higher than the Arts in the dimension of pursuing success.3.The university occupational values differ in genders, grades and majors. The boys and girls score no significant differences in hygiene factors and self-development factors, while the girls score higher in popularity status factors. The students of different grades make no much difference in hygiene factors and self-development factors while differ in popularity status factors. In dimension of popularity status factors, the freshmen, sophomores and Juniors Score significantly lower than the Seniors. The different specialized students make no much difference in dimension of popularity status and self-development, while the Science score significantly higher than the Arts in hygiene factors.4.The university students'achievement motivation,occupational values and career decision-making self-efficacy (CDMSE) are closely connected. There exist the positive relation between the five dimensions of CDMSE and the three dimensions of occupational values. The five dimensions of CDMSE have positive relation with the dimension of pursuing success in Achievement Motivation Scale and have negative correlation with the dimension of avoiding failures, but the coefficient of correlation is not significant. The regression analysis showed that self-development, pursuing success and hygiene factors have higher forecasting function to the five dimensions of CDMSE. |
