"Love Trilogy" is the representative of Hong Kong's new generation director Ye Nianchen's film, also the example of love genre in Hong Kong local films since the new century. Its narrative modes of reverse play and the business models of small broad makes itself be a new representative in the development of Hong Kong local films genre, for the revitalization of the local films in Hong Kong to bring a ray of hope. Although "Love Trilogy" has win-win in word of mouth and box office, academia world has not devoted more attention to it, its research is still poorly. So, necessarily, it must be carried out deep and systematic research, to discover its inspiration for Hong Kong local films in narrative and commerce.For the current research, this paper starts from character set, narrative features, cultural content and other aspects of "Love Trilogy", to dialysis the narrative strategies and cultural implications in films. Full text is divided into five parts, the preface mainly sorts Ye Nianchen's films, specially emphasis on the "Love Trilogy" in which analysis of social context and descriptions of present research. The first chapter analyzes the main characters and the "props" people of "Love Trilogy", to understand the characteristics on character set. The second chapter analyzes the features of narrative art of "Love Trilogy", to understand the narrative drama of its reverse mode, interlaced narrative time and space, the female narrative perspective. The third chapter analyzes cultural connotations of "Love Trilogy", to discuss the actual social significance of love in the post-industrial era. The conclusion is a relatively objective and fair summary of "Love Trilogy", to point out its existing deficiencies.This paper bases on the image text of Ye Nianchen's "Love Trilogy", does support the postmodern cultural theory, on the basis of previous research, dialyses the narrative strategies and cultural connotations of Ye Nianchen's "Love Trilogy".
