Research On Recovery Of Iron Armor From Tomb No. 5 At Lamadong Site Of Beipiao In Liaoning Province

The object of this research is recovery of armor from in Beipiao Lamadong Tomb No. 5, Liaoning Province. On the basis of relative researches, through the full use of historical documents and archaeological discoveries, we have studied the types of armor during the period of sixteen kingdoms step by step, introduced the whole process of clearing armors and recovery, and summarized and discussed the way of armor recovery.The recovered armor is one popular cavalry equipment in the East Jin and Sixteen States period, which is called equipped armor and mount in historical documents. This is the first recovery at home, and is the most complex armor with nail shape and the largest number of nails in the archaeological discoveries that have been known.
