A Philological Analysis Of Huizhou Genealogy In Ming Dynasty

In this thesis paper, Huizhou genealogy is taken as the research object. Based on the extensive collection of relevant library catalog, this thesis analyzes the statistics of the current 382 kinds of Huizhou genealogies, in the form of literature theory and statistical analysis method. Meanwhile, combing with some typical individual cases of Huizhou genealogy, it deeply studies the change of stylistic rules of genealogy compilation in Huizhou. In the further step, it explores an interactive relationship between local literature and genealogy in Huizhou.Specifically, the article examines the content change on the genealogy compilation of Huizhou during the Ming Dynasty, and open out the evolving process of the Ming genealogy from following the"Ousu genealogy body"and imitation of Hugh Historical to choose of State correction History stylistic rules. During forepart of the Ming, the genealogy of Huizhou was mainly affected by political factor as well as Philosophical Thought. But in the middle and latter part of the Ming, it was affected by economic and cultural factors. In the perspective of compilation fee collection, it was not compulsive. People in Huizhou made a great emphasis on the pedigree treasure-up and they had strictly genealogy collection management system. This is the important reason of its numerous surviving number. According to the systemic philological analysis of edition, section and surname distribution of genealogy, the author finds out the reason why in this area the genealogy compilation had becoming a higher frequency thing and made a large surviving number. Those reasons are such as complication of the society, the deeply traditional patriarchal system, high economic-cultural level and high frequency of nation integration.The genealogy of the Ming, like "Cheng Dian", has a characteristic of compilation accurate history, and its inscribed words of"shun sheng ni zu"is extremely rare. It has a side reflection of high editing level and feature of the Ming genealogy compilation. The compilation of Huizhou genealogy has a close intrinsic link with many Local Documents. Genealogy and Local have complementary relation in the compilation theory and interactive relationship in compilation practice. The timely record of many family documents made a basis of one family's latter genealogy compilation.
