Genealogy is a kind of folk literature with blood as a link,which records the historical atlas of the same lineage characters and biographies.The genealogy compilation has gone through transitions in the Song and Yuan Dynasties,and its development tended to be mature in the Ming and Qing Dynasties.Based on comprehensive factors such as economic development,developed engraving industry,and mature imprinting technology,the compilation of the Huizhou genealogy in the Qing Dynasty reached its peak.This thesis takes the Qing Dynasty as the research period and takes one prefecture and six counties in Huizhou as the research area to study the activities of Huizhou's genealogy revision and the design of Huizhou genealogy.Put the genealogy in the corresponding time background,and analyze the causes and ideas of Huizhou genealogy design based on the Huizhou economy,culture and society in the Qing Dynasty.From the perspective of Huizhou instruments,we have a comprehensive understanding of the compilation and imprinting of Huizhou genealogy in the Qing Dynasty,and studied the whole process of a genealogy from the first thought to final bookbinding.From the perspective of design,analyze the layout,illustrations,and binding forms of the genealogy of the Qing Dynasty,clarify the relationship between the content and form of the genealogy,and explore the design ideas of the genealogy of Huizhou in the Qing Dynasty.The overall design of the genealogy is the unity of form beauty and content beauty,and the whole book conveys the unity of inner spirit and outer order.The Huizhou genealogy in the Qing Dynasty is a comprehensive art integrating engraving,painting,calligraphy.It is the epitome of the Huizhou cultural thought,creation concept and aesthetic art in the Qing Dynasty.It can be called a cultural specimen under a specific historical background.At present,although there are many studies on the genealogy of Huizhou,and the results are quite rich,most of them are limited to the mining and collation of the value of historical materials.Few people start from the perspective of instruments.This article attempts to discuss the design of genealogy from the perspective of Huizhou instruments,and collects and arranges the contracts between the owners and craftsmen related to the genealogy,as well as text and image notes.Starting from the engraving of the original genealogy,it is a useful attempt for Huizhou and folk art to discuss the compilation ideas,production techniques,and aesthetic concepts of the genealogy in the Qing Dynasty.This paper uses case analysis to understand the compilation and engraving activities of Huizhou genealogy in the Qing Dynasty,and strives to clarify its close relationship with the times,regions and society from the complex genealogy system,from which we can see the Qing people's attachment to traditional aesthetic,and respect for patriarchal clan concepts.This paper aims to excavate the design ideas,design criteria and design elements of the Huizhou genealogy in the Qing Dynasty,which not only has a reference significance for the design of modern genealogy,but also has an enlightening effect on modern design.By studying the design of the Huizhou genealogy in the Qing Dynasty,comprehending the traditional Chinese aesthetic thoughts,grasping its design connotation and aesthetic awareness,traditional art ideas can be integrated into modern design.
