A Study Of Zhongxiang Dialect Vocabulary

Zhongxiang dialect is under the northern dialect.It is a region branch of north dialect which belongs to southwest Mandarin.Zhongxiang dialect vocabulary is very unique.This article detailedly describes and analyses the characteristic of Zhongxiang dialect vocabulary.According to this,this article not only analyses the differences between Zhongxiang dialect and Mandarin from the internal and external of language,but also reflects the social characteristic by analysing Zhongxiang dialect vocabulary.This paper is divided into two aspects.On the one hand,I will analyse the internal characteristics of Zhongxiang dialect vocabulary from the perspective of language itself.The first part mainly compares and analyses the differences in meaning and word form between Zhongxiang dialcct and Mandarin.And also some words in Zhongxiang dialect vocabulary can express their own characteristics in usage and emotional color.The second part is written the morphological feature in Zhongxiang dialect vocabulary.This section focuses on overlapping and suffix which can reflect the dialect characteristics.On the other hand,researching the external features which is reflected by Zhongxiang dialect words from the relationship between language and social life.This part will be analysed from appellation,folk words and euphemism.Giving some example words to analyse the word's social characteristics.
