The Study On The Vocabulary Of Hubei Zhicheng Dialect

Since modern times,the study of Chinese dialects has focused on the aspect of phonetics,and the research on vocabulary of a regional dialect is rare.This paper takes the vocabulary of Zhicheng dialect as the research object,and makes a comprehensive and accurate description and analysis on the vocabulary system of Zhicheng dialect.Zhicheng town belongs to Yidu city of Hubei province.Yidu dialect belongs to the Southwest Mandarin,Zhicheng dialect belongs to Yidu south area dialect.This paper first introduces the phonetic system of Zhicheng dialect.Zhicheng dialect has 17 initials,30 vowels and 4 tones.Because there is no ? initials,?r vowels and retroflex final,Zhicheng dialect belongs to Yidu South area dialect.Then summarizes the basic vocabulary,general vocabulary and word formation of Zhicheng dialect.Fieldwork is a prerequisite for dialect research.We collected 3592 words as dialect vocabulary corpus,then sort them into 30 categories for classification table of Zhicheng dialect.Comparison is the basic method of Dialect research.Zhicheng dialect is Yidu South area dialect.Based on the vocabulary,this paper uses the method of metrological analysis to compare the vocabulary of the dialects in the north and south of Yidu.In terms of the overall vocabulary,there’re 361 different vocabulary words in the north and south of Yidu,accounting for 11.69% of the total number of northern vocabulary and 10.89% of the total number of words in the south.The data show that there’re obvious differences in the dialect vocabulary of the Yidu dialects.From the point of view of individual words,we make the difference degree calculation for the difference words,and get the difference degree of 0.4816,which shows that there are obvious differences between the different words of Yidu dialects.Through the comparison of statistical and quantitative analysis,we provided the data basis for the Yidu dialect zoning in terms of vocabulary.This paper not only leaves some objective and rich information for the study of dialect vocabulary in Zhicheng town,but also makes a practical exploration for the lexical difference as the basis of dialect zoning.
