From Ming Dynasty up to Qing Dynasty, the compilation of LuZhouFuZhi experienced a shift from its silver age to its golden age embodied in the quantity and the quality which both surpassed that of its previous generations. The name of LuZhou came into being from Sui Dynasty and then turned into LuZhouFu in Ming and Qing dynasties. This paper mainly takes LuZhouFuZhi in Ming and Qing dynasties as the research object, aiming to make a thorough and careful reasearch into LuZhouFuZhi so as to explore their subtle values for further exploration of similar thesis, for the contribution to social and historical development and for the service of the reality.The whole paper mainly focuses on LuZhouFuZhi of Ming and Qing Dynasties, divided into four chapters. The first chapter discusses the origin of its compilation. Firstly it introduces the transformation of the construction for LuZhouFu and on the basis of such an understanding is then the detailed description of the origin of the compilation. The compilation of bibliographies of many local areas in Lu Zhou Fu experienced similarly three main periods:Han and Tang Dynasties, periods of its sprouting, Son and Yuan Dynasties, their growth and Ming and Qing Dynasties, their full maturity, all characterized by their bibliographies for geography and charts.Chapter 2 discusses the typical classification of its compiling system, which experienced constant changes and finally got developed. At the beginning of this part the paper points out two general categories based on PingMu pattern and GangMu pattern.What is especially expounded then is the construction and the characteristics of the classification for the two FuZhi of both the JiaQingLuZhouFuZhi and the GuangXuLuZhouFuZhi. Several characteristics in the classificaton will be easily seen after the comparisons are made between the JiaqingLuZhouFuZhi and those for the previous FuZhi as well as between the GuangxuLuZhouFuZhi and its previous FuZhi. Chapter 3 elucidates the theories for its compilation and the summaries made by the compilers. The elucidation focuses mainly on its origin, functions and its compiling. The contents are embodied in the preface part and its FanLi part.Chapter 4 investigates the value of LuZhouFuZhi. This chapter is divided into two parts. The first part introduces its historical values in the preservation of the descriptions in the aspects like population, the products, agriculture, business and astronomical disasters of the area. And the second part attaches more importance on its textual researching value. Some of the contents figured out using the method of the textual researching into both JiaQingZhi and GuangXuZhi serve as good complementarity of those contents lost in the bibliography of ChongZhengZhi, which thus helps us greatly to know more about the bibliography of ChongZhengZhi.
