With the continuous improvement of China's international status, traditional Chinese culture gradually goes abroad and faces the world.Local Chronicles,as an encyclopedia of local culture, are an important part of traditional Chinese culture. In the era of "going out",a translator should shoulder the responsibility of disseminating Chinese culture and promoting cultural communication among countries.Based on the above background,Jin County Chorography, which involves history, culture, nature, science and technology,is selected as the original text, and the development history and culture of Jin County are introduced in detail. The sentence patterns in the book are typical Chinese sentence patterns with the characteristics of "free in form but well-knit in meaning".If linear translation is adopted in the whole text,it will cause trouble to the readers in English-speaking countries. Therefore,it is necessary to adopt some translation strategies to make the translation more in line with the language structure and expression habits of the target readers. In this paper,in view of the differences in sentence structure involved in the process of Chinese-English translation, under the guidance of the Theory of Adaptation, the corresponding solutions are found and the cases are analyzed and explained in this practical report through sentence restructure according to the different characteristics expressed in the text. The author hopes that this translation practice will contribute to the translation study of local chronicle texts in the future and provide reference for other translators.
