AD 1227, the Western Xia regime was destroyed by Mongol. No matter its inhabitants remained in the old sod or migrated in large quantities, most of the inhabitants was still in the territory of China after the capital of Western Xia regime was massacred and looted wantonly by the Mongols cavalry. These inhabitants eventually became the subjects of Mongol and Yuan Dynasty. The traces of the Western Xia Dynasty could be still found now. with a large number of heritage informations were collated, and the senior scholars' field trips, it published many articles and monographs about the study of the descendants of the Western Xia Dynasty since 20. Seniors' hard work and fruitful results revealed the lives and history of the Tangut state and its descendants from different angles. The paper will focus on discussing about the development overview of the descendants of the Western Xia Dynasty, Gao Zhiyao's and Chahan's family, in Yuan Dynasty. In order to explain how the descendants of the Western Xia Dynasty sinicizing, and what the reason is, the paper will discuss the two families' acceptance of Chinese culture and Chinese culture's impacts to the two families which were under the rule of the Yuan by analyzing the two families'political standing in the Yuan Dynasty, historical contributions, marital status and the learning of Chinese culture. The purpose of the paper is to attempt to prove that every nationality accepted and respected the Chinese culture gradually, and integrated into the Chinese nation in the face of the strong Chinese culture.The main body of the paper will be divided into three chapters to elaborate. Chapter one will discuss the historical changes of the two families. The objects mainly include the origins of the two families, political status in the Yuan Dynasty, influential events, family changes and marital status. Meanwhile it will discourse some situations of another one with the same family of Chahan in the Yuan Dynasty. Chapter two will focuses on discoursing the specific situations of the two families' sinicizing. Chapter two will make a concrete analysis of the two families'sinicizing. It will be divided into four parts. At first, they moved closer to the Chinese culture consciously or unconsciously by the strong of the Chinese culture. Secondly, the policies of the Yuan Dynasty promote sinicizing of Mongolia and Semu directly or indirectly. Thirdly, the chinese cultural deposits of the Western Xia's people itself. Fourthly, it will set forth the possibility of its sinicizing from the national distribution and the situations of marriage among the national groups.
