Objective:This study aimed to explore the personality structure of Chinese college students and to prepare students for contemporary Chinese personality measurement questionnaire.Methods:Contemporary Chinese Personality Questionnaire completed three steps: first step, the University Personality Inventory vocabulary. This section assumes the use of vocabulary to learn, from the West in the mature personality questionnaire to collect personal vocabulary, the analysis of these words organize and conduct exploratory factor analysis, the preparation of terms of personality questionnaires of college students; the second step, the preparation of students personality questionnaire first draft. According to the findings of the questionnaire prepared vocabulary Personality of the projects described on these projects analysis and forecast experience, personality questionnaire compiled the first draft college students; the third step, the preparation of a large sample into the first draft of the observed data after the questionnaire items recovered analysis and factor analysis, further screening of the project, and ultimately the formation of contemporary Chinese Personality Questionnaire. Then gender, place of residence, levels of achievement, mental health and income caused by the differences in T Personality test and variance analysis.Results:Contemporary Chinese students from the seven factors of personality questionnaires composed of 85 projects, the cumulative rate of 48.354%of variance explained, and its name are as follows: factor I, innovation; factorsâ…¡, anxiety depression quality; factor three, warmth; factor four, persistence; factor V, both inside and outside to; factor six, traditional; factorâ…¦, and emotional stability. Internal consistency between the 0.759-0.927,0.792-0.912 retest reliability in between, its construct validity is satisfactory.The gender variable, men and women in the innovation, warmth, and emotional stability dimensions showed significant differences in anxiety-depression and quality, persistence, both inside and outside of the four dimensions of the traditional, men and women's scores did not show significant differences; in the residence variables, different place of residence of the students in the innovation, perseverance, both inside and outside the direction and traditional dimensions there were significant differences in anxiety-depression, quality, fun sociability, emotional stability and three dimensions there is no significant difference; variables in achievement levels, different levels of achievement of students in innovative, anxiety-depression dimensions of quality and perseverance there was significant difference in the gregarious resistance, internal and external to, traditional four dimensions of emotional stability and no significant difference; in the mental health variables, different levels of mental health of university students in innovative, anxiety-depression, quality, warmth, perseverance, internal and external dimensions to the emotional stability and significant differences exist only in the traditional dimensions there was no significant difference; variables in income levels, different income levels of students in innovative, anxiety-depression and quality, Lok Kwan nature, persistence and traditional dimensions are significant differences, including the dimensions of extroversion and emotional stability, there is no significant difference.Conclusions:Contemporary Chinese college students from the six dimensions of personality structure, the six dimensions were innovative, emotional stability, agreeableness, persistence, extraversion, and traditional. Gender, place of residence, levels of achievement, mental health and income levels of these five variables are constituted of personality of students.
