| Aggressiveness, targeted as the key domains by researchers, could exert an effect on every stage of individual development and society features. With the rapid development of society and increasing communication between human beings, there are more friction and attack force among each other, such as gruesome murder case occurred in college students. Although aggressiveness is domestic hot research field, high reliability and validity aggression questionnaires has been deficiency yet. There are several problems in the existing Chinese revision of Buss-Perry aggression questionnaire at present: the difference in understanding to the English questionnaire, Chinese edition had various diversity in wording and sentence pattern, some translation items unmatched the college students’ language habits. In addition, the different comprehension of factor analysis methods resulted different dimensional division in Chinese edition of Buss-Perry aggression questionnaires, most of them using principal component analysis which not belong to factor analysis approach. The researches concerning criterion related validity measurement of the questionnaires was seldom so as to the validity of Chinese editions were greatly reduced. According to the contrast of Chinese editions, there were many difference in deleted items, and this resulted the notably different test outcomes by extensive implementation as production releases.The revision of Chinese Buss-Perry aggression questionnaire would help further domestic study, investigate the offensive situation of Chinese college students, provide the underlying basis of students’ safety and social harmony and stability. Therefore, in this study, the Buss-Perry aggression questionnaire would be revised to Chinese version in college students and go a step further, survey the features of students’ aggression using the Chinese revised version of Buss-Perry aggression questionnaire.First, using literature method, the Buss-Perry aggression questionnaire original documents, and the both at home and abroad all revision literature all searching and reading analysis, find out their common problem, for the further revision and lay a solid foundation; Second, the expert consultation method, translation of the original time and again, and the amount of revision of existing domestic table for comparison, determine the questionnaire problems; then, using the method of questionnaire, the amount will be constantly revised in the table were released, in this study, a total of three questionnaires. The sample size were pretest 541, formal testing 1754, application testing 407. Finally, exploratory factor analysis, reliability factor analysis, reliability and validity test, the final questionnaire of the questionnaire and the attribution of the items were carried out. And preliminary application of the questionnaire to investigate the distribution of the students in China.The results of this study showed that,Firstly, determine the Chinese version of the Buss-Perry aggression questionnaire for the 4 dimensions of 25 items, including: the Physical questionnaire 7 items, 4 items of verbal aggression, anger 6 items and 8 items of hostility. Secondly, through exploratory factor analysis, found that 24, 15, 9, 10 questions of statistical indicators is not ideal, fit is very poor, in the results was not reported. Thirdly, confirmatory factor analysis was basically supported the 4 factor structure of the questionnaire. Fourthly, the reliability and validity of the test results are good. Buss-Perry aggression questionnaire internal consistency reliability were: physical aggression.738, verbal aggression.704, anger.778, hostility.808, total score.952. After a lapse of 8 weeks, 70 freshmen from Southwestern University were retested and the retest reliability was physical aggression.720, verbal aggression.291, anger.961, hostility.914, total score.952.The content validity of Buss-Perry attack was good. Each dimension between moderately related to each dimension and total score were highly correlated each dimension. Criterion related validity in active response aggressiveness questionnaire effect is bad outside, other calibration were correlates significantly with the dimensions of the default Buss-Perry aggression questionnaire, in line with expectations. Finally, the Buss-Perry aggression questionnaire was measured in the college students in this study, Chinese college students’ aggressive overall low; In physical aggression, verbal aggression and aggression scores boys were significantly higher than girls; In anger girls than boys, but the difference was not significant; hostility between boys and girls was not significant.The revised Buss-Perry aggression questionnaire structure is more stable, reliability and validity is good, it can be used as a tool for measuring college students’ aggression. |
