China's Independent Documentary Study Of Cross-cultural Communication

Since the 1990s, with many outstanding Chinese independent documentary getting awards on internation frequently and the diversification of the transmission channel, Chinese independent documentary came across the domestic and international obstacles and gradually moved towards the world stage, getting audiences' accept and praise in worldwide, they finally started the transcultural communication successfully. Thus, how did the Chinese independent documentary do the transcultural communication, gradually come into people's research vision.This thesis first illustrated the specific case of Our Study Life abroad analyzing the content selection, creation characteristics and communication mode from the angle of transcultural communication. This thesis take the view that, as a independent documentary, the achievements of Our Study Life abroad in transcultural communication field are closely connected with its contents, creation characteristics and communication mode. It finally fond the balance between the personal expression, the mainstream discourse and the business spread. Then this thesis give an overall analysis of Chinese independent documentary on the spread of the content, creation characteristics and the communication mode. As compared, the characteristics of the independent documentary' transcultural communication is distinct, which reflected on the diversify of the content, the personal creating and the targeted transmission mode; But meanwhile, independent documentary's international misreading, the lose in aesthetic in mirror image and the narrow spreading scope, also become the bottleneck of their developments. Finally, according to the above analysis, this thesis gives some Suggestions to further discuss the survival pattern of Chinese independent documentary' transcultural communication.
