Investigation And Study On Musical Education Of Privately-run High Schools In Hunan

The privately-run high school is an innovative pattern under the modern China's high public education ideas, which is invested by the private capital and subsisted mainly on the management type of "to operate the school by the tuition" to maintain the educational institution, and the school authorities enjoy the freedom to choose students and courses for meeting constantly the market demands. Hunan International Economics University has been allowed to do a regular undergraduate and aimed at bringing up versatile students, and the students graduated here who should get driver's license, computer and English certificate. Since 2000, the musical education has been established, most of the early student's source is graduating students, others including those who lose out in the university entrance exam and vocational school graduates, and even used to attract social workers through the way of face to face, self-studied, correspondence course to break the public schools mechanism. With the adjustment of our orientation, we have developed into general education and vocational education from single vocational education, and our purpose is to be the first rate of the country in the privately-run high schools. In 2005, after promoted into undergraduate course, we entered into the national unified entrance exam, thus the student's source was basically the graduates of 2 lines in our province. The market running-school mechanism makes the development scale from 30 students in 2000 to 2000 students now, and it becomes a larger and fairly complete musical system. Although it has developed fast, there are still some basic problems, such as hardware facilities, student's source, quality, employments that there is still an enormous gap between the public university and the privately-run high school. The problems have hindered the development of musical education of privately-run high schools. The Conservatory of Music of Hunan International Economics University is a microcosm of musical education in our province. Looked at from musical education of privately-run high schools in Hunan, the journey of development is tough. There is no formal law and regulation about privately-run musical education in our country. It has been impeded in stability and endurance by the problem of money, quality and morality in educational field.Reference to United States and Japan, the development of musical education at university, such as American history is not long, but it has been emphatic all over the world in private musical educational institutions. Japan's national conservatory of music is the most famous musical institutions in Japan. The development of private musical business schools in the United States and Japan happens to be reference for China. From the development of musical education in United States and Japan, there is no containing between public and private school, but according to its own characteristics, the private musical education gives full play to the independence and flexibility so as to complement with the public musical educational institutions.Private musical education in China has started late, due to China's national conditions; the people take an optimistic and skeptical view on the prospects of private musical educational institutions. In addition, it hasn't been treated equally as the public school in the law. Thereby, the way of development is hard in private musical education.The author has been working in private musical educational institutions for ten years, and witnessed the rapid development and also experienced the hardship. According to the working experience, with the example of the conservatory of music of Hunan International Economics University, this article is to provide scientific theory evidence and valuable references for the development of musical education of privately-run high schools in Hunan.
