Ye Mengde is a important writer in Southrn Song Dynasty. He is learned and prolific. But the research of his poems is not full. Based on the carefully studies of his poems, the author analyzes his themes, contents and arts features. This article will discusses the influence of his poetics, and investigates his succession and impact. This article consists of four chapters except Introduction and Conclusion:Chapter one analyzes the poems combined with historical. It discusses the ideological content systematically. It includes : patriotism, family, friendship, feeling of life, politics, recluse, etc.Chapter two generalizes the arts features of Ye Mengde's poems. It includes four points: great and vigorous, grief and indignation, lively and fresh, natural and chic.Chapter three analyzes the poetics of"natural", and the impact on creation. This paper argues that the poetics of"natural"mainly reflected in three aspects. It includes words, allusion and artistic conception. This article is also analyzes the the impact on creation with the works.Chapter four discusses the succession and impact of the poems. It analyzes the succession of Tao Yuanming, Du Fu, Su Shi and Wang Anshi in writing and mental quality. Because the poems of Ye Mengde are rich in content and variety of styles, so they are special in Southrn Song Dynasty. The poetics of"natural"also played an important role at the time.
