The purpose of this study is not only to improve the mental health of and coping style levels of the teachers in secondary vocational schools, but also to provide a theoretical basis on raising their performance level through the research on the relations between the mental health, coping styles and work performance. In this study, the writer used Symptom Assessment Scale-90 (SCL-90), the Questionnaires of Coping Styles written by Xiao Jihua and the Teachers' Work Performance Assessment Form as instruments, and made descriptive analysis, correlation analysis, difference analysis and regression analysis of the collected data by SPSS16.0.The results show that:(1) The mental health of teachers working in the secondary vocational schools is very poor.(2) The mental health of teachers in the secondary vocational schools in different age, teaching experience, physical health status and professional category is significantly different.(3)Teachers in secondary vocational school mainly choose mature coping style.(4) The mental health of teachers in secondary vocational school and the results of their work performance test are positive correlation.(5) Mature coping ways of teachers in secondary vocational school show a positive correlation with their work performance results, on the other side, their immature coping styles and their work performance results are negative correlation.(6) The mental health status influences their work performance checking results significantly, and coping styles are on the cortiary.(7) Regression analysis shows that we can establish regression equation by the mental health and work performance. If we used mental health as independent variable and work performance score results as the dependent variable, we could conclude the regression equation is that y =104.115-0.239x.(8) Regression analysis shows that we can establish regression equation by the coping styles and work performance. If we used coping styles as the independent variable and work performance results as the dependent variable, we could conclude the regression equation is that y= 93.032-0.303x.
